Foxhound Sponsored Competition
The unseasonably fine and friendly golfing weather continues to bring members out in their droves, and last weekend produced another close finish, with Greg Duffy taking the honours with an excellent 40 points.

Greg Duffy – 40 pts
Eugene McGuigan – 39 pts
Eoghan Donnelly – 38 pts

Eugene continues to round off a superb few weeks, having added the Blayney Cup & Dundalk’s Intermediate Scratch Cup to his list of achievements. This time, however, Greg had just enough in reserve to take the spoils.
A big thank you to Foxhound for their kind sponsorship and support.

 Family Cup Final
And what a way to finish the Family Cup.
Congratulations to Mac & Niamh (Sammon/Quinn), who came through the final to defeat the O’Connors (Gary/Jake) and claim the title.
The Family Cup has provided plenty of great golf, competitive matches and, presumably, the occasional interesting family discussion along the way! A brilliant addition to the club calendar and congratulations to our worthy winners.

 Ladies’ Golfer of the Year
And the Ladies’ Golfer of the Year has also been decided.
Congratulations to Julie-Ann Murphy, who takes the title after a season of consistent performances.
A fantastic achievement and a thoroughly deserved congratulations to Julie-Ann.

Club News
Congratulations to Nicky Hore, who has been appointed Vice Captain for the coming season.
Nicky has been a great supporter of the club, doing sterling work behind the scenes to ensure the finances are kept in check and that we can continue to enjoy the amazing facility we call home.
We wish him every success in the role. We’re sure he’ll be kept busy!
Congratulations Nicky, and best of luck for the year ahead.

That’s a Wrap
And with that, we’re signing off for another great season of golf at Concra Wood.
From Captain’s Days and major competitions to matchplay battles, scratch cups, family rivalries, charity events and plenty of golf stories to cherish, it’s been another brilliant year around the club.
A huge thank you to all our members, sponsors, groundstaff, our club professional, committee, volunteers and everyone who contributed throughout the season.
