Congratulations to all of this year’s prize winners.

On a personal note, I had the pleasure of partnering Cathryna in the All-Ireland Mixed this season. If I ever found myself needing someone to hole a ten-footer with my life depending on it, she’d be getting the call. Calm under pressure and a wonderful putter, it’s no surprise to see her lifting one of the club’s biggest prizes. Congratulations Cathryna!

The celebrations continued long after the final putts had dropped, as the ladies swapped golf attire for their glad rags and enjoyed a wonderful evening in the clubhouse. By all accounts, it was a fantastic night’s craic and a fitting end to another memorable Lady Captain’s Day.

Concra Golfers Flying the Flag

It was another outstanding week for Concra Wood members competing away from home.

Congratulations to Eugene McGuigan, who captured the Intermediate Scratch Cup at Dundalk Golf Club with an excellent performance. It continues a remarkable run of success for Concra golfers “on tour” following Adrian Connolly’s recent victory in the Junior Scratch Cup at County Louth.

The standard of golf being produced by our members, both at home and across the region, is something the entire club can be proud of.

Congratulations to everyone who featured in this week’s competitions. Long may the sunshine—and the superb golf—continue.
